You might be wondering, “But what about India?” Do we do not have sufficient Indian Probiotic foods? India has several delicacies of probiotics which are eaten daily by us.  South India is famous for its cuisine which is probiotic in nature. Let’s check those delicacies.

Soya Milk

An Indian drink which is high in probiotics and nutrients such as proteins, Soya milk is lactose-free and therefore good for people who are intolerant to lactose. They can drink soya milk daily. It will reduce your cholesterol level and help in weight loss. Soya Milk is also a good source of Omega 3, omega 6 fatty acids, and several Phyto antioxidants which are known to boost your blood vessels.

Yogurt

Paneer

Dhokla

It is a major Probiotic food from Gujrat which is made by fermenting gram flour that is rich in nutrients and vitamins such as folic acid, riboflavin, niacin, thiamine, biotin, and Vitamin K. Dhokla is amongst one of the healthiest evening snacks which is easily digestible and not too spicy which takes care of your digestive system. This snack increases your energy levels.

South Indian Foods

South Indian foods such as Idli, dosa, vada, and several other cuisines are made by fermenting rice and lentils which are a good source of carbohydrates and protein. These foods are examples of healthy Indian probiotic foods as they are low in fat content and easily digestible. Also, most of South Indian probiotic foods are rich in antioxidants and fiber content.
