It lets one exclude or restrict the food products that are high in carbohydrates. But here lies the tricky part. This diet limits carbohydrates intake, which several people assume just means removing bread and pasta from their diet.

However, there are plenty of food items that contain hidden carbohydrates in them.

Yogurt

Yogurt is regarded as an excellent food when one wants to shed weight. It is a tasty and versatile food. Even though plain yogurt does not have many carbohydrates, sweetened yogurt contains as many carbohydrates as a dessert. 245 grams of flavored yogurt contains up to 47 grams of carbohydrates.

Beans

When it comes to beans, no one really thought that they could be rich in carbohydrates. Yes, they are nutritious and also beneficial for health but also has a good amount of carbohydrates. A cup of different type of cooked beans, around  160 to 200 grams, contain Kidney beans (Rajma) 40 grams, black beans 41 grams, and pinto beans 45 grams of carbohydrates respectively.
