It is painful for the parents to see their young kids wearing cumbersome eyeglasses. Commonly, the medics do not offer any permanent alternative for the eyeglasses. They just suggest living with it and call the child again for the eye testing, every six months.

However, myopia in kids can reduce by the holistic treatment. Not only it can reduce, but also it is possible to get rid of the eyeglasses too, especially when myopia is not very high. As they say, nature is the best healer and appropriate food the best medicine.

Food for the eyes and eyes for the food

Vitamin D rich food

In a study concluded recently, contrary to the popular belief, Vitamin A does not help or cause Myopia. It is Vitamin D, which is responsible for it. Vitamin D provides protection to corneal health and improves the sharpness of eyes. The studies found out that Vitamin D level is less than normal in myopic patients, in comparison to the kids who are not myopic. The good source of Vitamin D are Tuna, Eggs, and Beef Liver and many more.

Dairy products

Yogurt, fortified milk, and cheese are some good sources of Vitamin D.

Fortified orange juice

Fortified orange juice is also Vitamin D and C enriched.

Spinach

Leafy spinach is rich in antioxidants, which helps in preventing macular degeneration and makes vision sharper. Try the green spinach in veggies, soups, and several other ways that your kid would eat easily.

Broccoli

The lutein, an antioxidant is abundantly available in broccoli. Cook super-food broccoli in pasta, Baked Broccoli Burgers, Broccoli Mushroom Soup, and several other dishes that your child enjoys.

Kale

Kale is a super-food enriched with nutrients and antioxidant that help to ward off any eye weakness. Try different recipes for your kid, kale in a salad, strawberry kale smoothie, and smoothie with several other fruits such as avocado.

Brussels sprouts

This is full of vitamin C, an important vitamin that sustains the healthy vision. Try these roasted Brussels sprouts in several tasty ways that your kid eats without any issue.

Food may not work wonders immediately, however, in longer time by following right diet plan it helps to cure children’s myopia.
