In Philippines, Generation-O means ‘overweight, overworked, and overstressed’ employees of a corporate. Thanks to the office automation, the employees remain sedentary and glued to their chairs. They understood their routine is taking them nearer to the doomsday every day, they all joined fitness program initiated by the company. This wellness program is bringing the changes for better now for them and company’s productivity.

Here are 5-ways to the wellness program

  1. Create a survey– It is important to know all before you begin, like what are the employees’ interests and needs. They want either the group exercise classes, gym facilities, outdoor team-building fitness activities, or further education on proper nutrition.
  2. Devote time to talks or workshops– Educating the employees is must, so invest time in talks and workshops. You can offer a pep talk by counting benefits of physical fitness and the drawbacks, what if they do not devote time to it. They should understand the importance of proper nutrition and healthy style of living, before the implementation of a wellness program.
  3. Well-being Packages– Offer employee health incentive programs, it could be the free eye test, dental check-ups, annual health assessments, and other regular activities programs. Buy health insurance for the employees.
  4. Engage them through Themes– Think of a theme or a program, which instigates them to achieve the set goals. This way, the interest of the employee enhances by giving them diverse and interesting wellness targets every month. You can think of inter-department fitness competitions also and give off some token prizes.
  5. Offer healthy food– During the wellness programs, offer employees healthy snacks and meal for their nutritional needs. Consider replacing sodas with milk, juice, or sparkling water. You can convert snack machines by stocking nuts, dried fruit, and other healthy options.
