Many of you suffer from bloating, which can be uncomfortable, especially at night when you are trying to sleep. Bloating makes you look like you have got more belly fat, gives you the appearance of being overweight and causes you to not fit into your clothes.

It generally happens to people after they have eaten a meal, and then the stomach flattens again in the morning. India’s top Dietician, Avni Kaul, tells about certain foods that reduce bloating fast.

Ginger

Ginger is a common herb that contains natural components that counter bloating in the stomach and intestines. It is used as a natural treatment for stomach bloating, nausea, heartburn, and digestive issues. You can either have raw ginger or make fresh ginger tea by thinly slicing ginger root and steeping it in boiling water.

Cucumber

This green wonder has a high-water content and is rich in nutrients and minerals. Eating cucumber helps to flush the wastes out of the digestive system and reduce bloating due to intestinal gas.

Papaya

Papaya has been for long considered a stomach-friendly food. The delicious papaya fruit contains a potent enzyme called papain. Papain supports the stomach in breaking down protein which helps reduce bloating and gas.

Lemons

Both lemons, as well as limes, have citric acid which helps your stomach to break down foods and prevent the formation of gas. Add two teaspoons of freshly-squeezed lemon juice to your glass of water and drink along a meal. It soothes the digestive system and helps to get rid of bloating.

Coconut oil

Stop cooking your food using unhealthy vegetable oils and switch to extra virgin coconut oil. This oil has MCTs (medium chain triglycerides) which help your body to absorb nutrients. They boost the health of the pancreas organ which then frees enzymes and breaks down foods inside the stomach, preventing bloating in the first place.
