An inch off the belly is a tricky suggestion in view of many myths and facts associated to it. Everyone hear about different offers to lose an inch off the belly through a special diet or a special exercise. However, no one knows much what is right for him or her. Here are certain truths that will clear all the myths about losing tummy fat. Abdominal exercises Can the abdominal exercises help belly fat to reduce? There are many beliefs that it is a myth. Logically speaking, it seems so, because the muscle does not own the fat that surrounds it. In other words, the advised workouts like sit-ups only help to strengthen the abdominal muscles. It is impossible to get rid of the belly fat only, unless total body fat is gone. Therefore, what should be the best way out to lose unwanted belly fat? A comprehensive weight-loss program is the only answer. Generally, men add up fat on bellies while women add up on hip areas. You cannot target one body area to lose fat, as many ads attempt to mislead. You need to burn overall calories to lose total body fat that will include tummy fat as well. The ideal program for fat loss would include the fusion of proper diet, weight training, and cardio exercise. Whole grain helps? This is partially a myth. The whole grain could be a part of your diet plan to lose calories, but not responsible directly for the weight-loss. Belly fat is dangerous than the fats in other areas This is true! The tummy fat or visceral fat surrounds most of the internal organ of the body. This affects the proper heart functioning, tummy fat makes a person prone to heart diseases. If any woman has a tummy larger than 28 inches, she must take it as a warning signal. Remember 3500 calories means one pound of fat. Only a proper dietary program can guide you what fat or other nutrients to take to shed off calories. written by Avni Kaul – Nutritionist and Wellness Coach
